Job summary

Hytek Finishes Co. in Kent, WA is seeking an Aerospace NDT Assistant to learn and support Level 1 and II NDT inspections, including loading, running and unloading ovens for stress bakes and vapor degreasing. The role requires coordinating bake times across departments on site.

This full-time, non-exempt position offers a comprehensive benefits package and on-the-job training with potential FAA DOT drug testing requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a regular and dependable attendance record.
• Ability to read/write English for communication with coworkers, customers and auditors.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Level I and II NDT Inspectors to complete work and prioritize tasks.
• Follow shop traveler, technique card, POs, and instructions from NDT Inspectors.
• Review paperwork to ensure previous operations were completed; notify supervisor and QA if errors.
• Prepare parts prior to operations including mechanical or chemical cleaning.
• Perform pre- and post-cleaning surface finish requirements.
• Follow Quality Assurance requirements.
• Follow safety precautions as trained.
• Other duties as assigned.
