Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be trained and certified in NAS 410 per NDT personnel standards.
• Experience with multiple NDT methods and related fluid analysis.
• Knowledge of safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect aerospace weapon systems components for structural integrity using NDT methods.
• Determine test methods and prepare fluids and parts for inspection.
• Interpret test results and report defects to repair center.
• Analyze wear metal content and advise corrective actions.
• Establish radiographic areas and monitor radiation exposure.
• Operate, maintain, and inspect nondestructive equipment.
• Perform operator maintenance and service on shop tools.
• Ensure lock-out/tag-out procedures before maintenance.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials.
• Complete initial NDT training and maintain basic qualification.
