Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an NC Manufacturing Engineer (Turning Focus) to develop robust CNC programs and documentation for aerospace components. You will focus on mill-turn and 2-axis lathe work, building reliable strategies for tight tolerances and tough materials.

The role requires CAM experience with lathes, Siemens NX proficiency, and strong CAD/GD&T knowledge, along with hands-on startup and process documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years CAM programming with emphasis on lathes.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD; understanding CAD principles and GD&T.
• Knowledge of workholding strategies, cutting tool selection, and gaging.
• Experience creating clear process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize NC programs in Siemens NX for mill-turn, 2-axis lathes, and CNC mills.
• Run virtual machine simulations to validate programs before cutting material.
• Perform on-machine prove-outs and continuous optimization.
• Collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability and apply GD&T correctly.
• Assist with equipment installation, runoff, and production startup.
