Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks a skilled machinist with hands-on experience in milling, turning, grinding, heat-treating, brazing, and general shop math. You will work from drawings, set up and operate lathes, CNC/CNCL, milling machines, and grinders, and design basic fixtures with minimal engineering support.

The role requires fixture procurement to engineering specs, quick fixture turnover, and solid problem-solving.

Qualifications

Three years minimum job in Aerospace industry.
Fixture and tooling design.
Geometric tolerance skills, certification of specialized class participation preferred.
People skills using good grammar, cordialness, ability to converse with internal customers.
Good team leadership skills.
Education and Experience: 2-6 minimum machine shop experience, Journeyman class “A” credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

Must have firsthand knowledge of manufacturing capabilities in milling, turning, grinding, heat-treating, brazing, and general shop math.
Set up and operate lathes, CNC and CNCL, milling machines, precision grinders, and saws per drawings and prints.
Engage in basic fixture design with little or no engineering assistance and assist in fixture procurement to engineering specs.
Able to learn quickly, take instruction well, and apply mechanical problem-solving ability.
Knowledge of CNCM tool room machines with CNC controls; Mastercam programming experience is a plus.
