Job summary

ACMT INC in Manchester, CT is seeking an Aerospace MRO Quality Engineer to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across inspection activities and teardown reporting.

You will interpret complex engine manuals, support repair processes, and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams. The role includes training development and audit support to sustain FAA/EASA and AS9100 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace technology or related field.
• Experience in aerospace MRO quality assurance or component repair preferred.
• Knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations and AS9100 quality management systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, repair specifications, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and write teardown reports to ensure compliance with engineering specs and regulatory requirements.
• Support repair activities with technical guidance and compliant execution of procedures.
• Develop and deliver training on quality processes, inspection techniques, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records, documents, and reporting for FAA, EASA and other regulators.
• Assist in creating and improving quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.
• Support internal and external audits including customer, regulatory, and industry audits.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve MRO performance.
• Provide hands-on shop-floor support and coordinate between quality and operations.
