Position Overview:The Aerospace MRO Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality, safety, and compliance within the maintenance, repair, and overhaul environment. This role supports inspection activities, training, the ability to interpret complex engine manuals and continuous improvement initiatives while working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams. The Quality Engineer also assists with part repair processes to maintain regulatory compliance and meet customer and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:• Perform inspections and write detailed teardown reports on aerospace components and assemblies to ensure adherence to engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.• Support and participate in repair activities by providing technical guidance and ensuring compliant execution of repair procedures.• Develop, deliver, and document training related to quality processes, inspection techniques, regulatory requirements, and best practices.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.• Maintain accurate quality records, documentation, and reporting required by FAA, EASA, and other regulatory bodies.• Assist in the creation, review, and improvement of quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.• Support internal and external audits, including customer, regulatory, and industry audits.• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and improve overall MRO performance.• Work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to independently manage tasks and prioritize workload.• Provide hands-on support in the shop when needed, ensuring seamless coordination between quality and operations.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.• Prior experience in aerospace MRO, quality assurance, or component repair strongly preferred.• Working knowledge of FAA/EASA regulations, AS9100, and industry-standard quality practices.• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, repair specifications, and technical manuals.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience performing root cause and corrective action activities.• Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver training effectively.• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and comfort working closely with repair technicians.Key Attributes:• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.• Team-oriented and collaborative.• Adaptable and able to support multiple functions as needed.• Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
