Job summary

Vantor in Herndon, VA is seeking an Aerospace Modeling & Simulation Engineer to support advanced ISR studies for government and commercial customers. You will model satellites, aircraft, sensor systems, and mission scenarios to evaluate performance and inform decisions for future space and airborne capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or CS field.
• US citizenship with active TS/SCI clearance.
• Willing to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and run high-fidelity simulations of space, airborne, and ISR sensor systems.
• Build operational vignettes reflecting real-world mission needs.
• Develop tools, scripts, and simulator features to improve scenario generation, data analysis, visualization, workflow efficiency, and overall simulation capability.
• Analyze simulation results to identify trends, risks, trade-offs, and key performance drivers.
• Perform QA/QC on model inputs, assumptions, outputs, and analytical results.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical teams, senior leaders, and customers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while also owning independent analysis tasks.
