Job summary

DS2 is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead software teams in aerospace mission planning. You will shape solutions that support warfighter needs, guide SAFe ART execution, and work with clients and stakeholders to refine features and backlogs.

The role requires 15+ years of defense engineering, TS/SCI clearance, and strong cross‑functional leadership. You will coordinate with program offices, manage backlogs, and deliver capabilities on DoD timelines while building teams and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 15+ years supporting U.S. defense or DoD engineering programs.
• Strong understanding of military organizational structure, weapon employment concepts, and mission‑planning workflows.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑disciplinary teams within a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Experience managing large‑scale Agile software development efforts delivering capabilities on DoD timelines.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• TS/SCI Eligible clearance; must be a U.S. citizen and able to complete background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product strategies aligned with mission priorities and warfighter needs.
• Build and maintain the ART capability roadmap with Owners and stakeholders.
• Lead cross team collaboration to integrate new mission planning capabilities and maintain legacy functionality.
• Manage backlogs, define features, and guide implementation across multiple development teams.
• Engage with U.S. and partner users to translate requirements into actionable features.
• Coordinate with Program Offices and test organizations for evaluation and acceptance of delivered functionality.
• Drive transparency and governance across the ART.
