Job summary

Katalyst Space is hiring for a product management leader to own the SDA product roadmap and drive strategic planning for defense/aerospace solutions. You will manage backlogs, translate stakeholder needs into actionable requirements, and deliver technical demos to DoD and partners.

You will coordinate with engineering, lead cross-functional teams, and engage executives to align roadmap priorities with mission goals, travel as needed, and guide external partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field as listed.
• 3–5 years of product management experience in defense/aerospace or tech B2B SaaS.
• Domain expertise in aerospace/space domain or ability to learn quickly.
• Experience with government or DoD customers.
• Startup/fast-paced experience with ambiguity.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and PM tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical/executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the product roadmap for multiple SDA products.
• Own the product backlog, ensuring features are prioritized and ready for engineering.
• Provide visibility of execution and progress to executives.
• Translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements and user stories for engineering.
• Balance competing priorities, deadlines, and mission requirements.
• Own and deliver external-facing product demos to government stakeholders, customers, and partners with technical depth.
• Prepare and present technical briefings to senior military/government officials.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for external communications.
• Coordinate with engineering and contribute to ensure demos address priorities.
• Lead Bi-weekly sprint demos to show development progress.
• Communicate with executives regarding product development and alignment.
• Lead biannual product strategy workshops to align teams on roadmap priorities.
• Manage external subcontractor relationships and milestones.
• Own and manage relationships with government stakeholders, partners, and potential acquisition targets.
