Job summary

Butler America Aerospace L.L.C. in Windsor Locks, CT seeks an Aftermarket Repair Engineer to improve metrology processes and ensure instrumentation readiness at a FAA Part 145 Repair Station.

You will support dimensional, torque, electrical, and temperature measurement systems in production and test environments. You will update procedures, develop workflows for calibration and escalation, analyze failure modes, and collaborate across Metrology, Repair Engineering, and Operations to maintain

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related discipline.
• Experience with metrology equipment and GD&T.
• Understanding of calibration workflows and measurement uncertainty.
• Ability to troubleshoot measurement deviations in mechanical, electrical and thermal domains.

Responsibilities

• Review, update, and standardize metrology procedures across test-equipment domains.
• Create controlled workflows for calibration, repair, replacement, and escalation.
• Analyze failure modes and implement controls to prevent downtime.
• Develop metrics to monitor calibration load and equipment health.
• Conduct lifecycle assessments and provide replacement recommendations.
• Partner with Metrology, Repair Engineering and Operations to resolve readiness issues.
• Lead SOOT dispositions as the technical focal with Repair Engineering and Operations.
