Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Aftermarket Repair Engineer in Windsor Locks, CT to lead metrology process improvements and instrument readiness in a high-precision FAA Part 145 MRO environment. You will drive calibration workflows, analyze downtime drivers, and partner with Metrology, Repair Engineering, and Operations to sustain measurement system performance.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement to ensure equipment

Qualifications

• Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with multi-discipline metrology equipment and GD&T.
• Strong calibration workflow knowledge and measurement uncertainty understanding.
• Ability to troubleshoot deviations across mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems.
• Experience creating and maintaining controlled procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead metrology process improvements across measurement systems.
• Develop calibration, repair, replacement, and escalation workflows.
• Collaborate with Metrology, Repair Engineering, and Operations to resolve issues.
• Develop metrics on calibration workloads, overdue gages, and instrument health.
• Assess equipment lifecycle and recommend upgrades or backups.
