Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a capable aerospace mechanical technician to join the Stage Manufacturing team in California. You will build and test the Terran R mechanism assemblies, using precision tools and hand instruments, while collaborating with engineers and technicians to optimize build processes.

The role emphasizes building robust systems, operating in a fast-paced environment, and contributing to a factory that scales with rocket production.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of aerospace mechanical experience or related field.
• Proficient in using calibrated tools such as torque wrenches and precision inspection equipment.
• Experience in the building and testing of electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience in wiring, harnessing, and avionics.
• Proficiency of relevant aerospace industry standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams on building the 1st Terran R mechanism assemblies.
• Follow precise work instructions to successfully complete build operations.
• Assemble and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies using a variety of hand tools and test equipment.
• Work closely with a team of technicians to successfully execute daily operations.
