Job summary

V2X Inc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Mechanical Worker II to support the Modernization and Sustainment site. The role involves assembling, disassembling, fabricating, repairing, and testing complex electronic, electrical, mechanical systems in accordance with military, commercial, and aerospace specs.

You will work with avionics, missiles, and launchers, handle electrical wiring, precision machining, and airframe repairs, and guide less experienced staff to maintain high-quality output.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in electronic assembly, rework and repair preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Proficient with pneumatic, electric, hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Experience with light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, re-assemble, fabricate, repair, adjust, test and verify complex systems per specs.
• Work with avionics, missiles, weapons controls, aircraft armament and launchers.
• Perform electrical wiring, component removal and installation into cabinets and assemblies.
• Perform mechanical parts installation and adjustment to tight tolerances.
• Conduct light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.
• Use pneumatic, electric, hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Mentor less experienced mechanical workers.
