Collins Aerospace invites applications for a Mechanical Repair Technician III at our Wilson, NC facility. The role is a 1st shift onsite position focused on servicing customer returned products and ensuring functional operation in strict compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include disassembly, cleaning, repair and testing of fire-extinguisher products, using a wide range of hand and power tools, and SAP navigation with minimal assistance. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Compliance with FAA Guidelines and safety-sensitive requirements such as drug/alcohol testing may apply

Responsibilities

• Repair products in accordance with product component maintenance manuals to meet regulations
• Disassemble, clean, repair and test fire-extinguisher products
• Use wide range of hand and power tools
• Navigate SAP with minimal assistance
• Comply with all Collins Aerospace rules and regulations (EHS, ethics, ITC, HR)
• Check work methods and results for conformance to standards
• Report progress to Lead or Supervisor
