Job summary

RTX seeks a mechanical/aerospace engineering student for hands‑on work in aerospace and defense product development. You will assist with planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical/electromechanical systems under supervision.

You will model components and run analyses, supporting tests and documentation. You will collaborate with engineers to interpret results, learn design standards, and contribute to multi‑disciplinary projects while gaining practical experience in a dynamic

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field.
Experience with 3D CAD software such as Solidworks or equivalent.
Experience with FEM/analysis tools like ANSYS or similar is required.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, design, development and testing of mechanical/electromechanical systems under supervision.
Collaborate with engineers to model components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
Conduct tests for systems and components under oversight and analyze results against specs.
Communicate findings effectively within cross‑functional teams.
Document development, analysis and test data and support design reviews.
