Job summary

E-Space is seeking a Junior Mechanical Designer to join the Arlington, TX-based Manufacturing team. You will design production hardware for future satellites, using SolidWorks under senior designers, and help bring designs from prototype to production.

This hands-on role emphasizes GD&T, design-for-manufacture, and rapid prototyping, including 3D-printed to machined parts, with opportunities to grow in a high-rate aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with prototyping and build processes.
• Familiarity with GD&T, tolerancing and manufacturability.
• Proactive in maintaining CAD files and part library.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify parts, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks under the direction of senior designers.
• Support end-effector (EOAT) and mechanical systems projects through prototyping and build.
• Produce build documentation and assembly drawings.
• Help fabricate, assemble, and test prototypes - from 3D-printed to machined hardware.
• Maintain CAD files, revisions, and the parts library to team standards.
• Learn and apply GD&T, tolerancing, and design-for-manufacture.
