Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Major Maintenance Vehicles Mechanical Engineer to coordinate with suppliers, review designs, and integrate with product teams to ensure adherence to requirements and successful implementation of solutions.

The role requires a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, at least 2 years of related experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain/maintain Secret and SAP clearances. Travel is limited and relocation assistance may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizen.
• Active Secret clearance at time of application.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
• Experience with Support Equipment hardware development for aircraft/aerospace programs.
• Experience with SE requirements analysis, trade studies, SERD generation, design solutions, acquisition, test, and validation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers, review designs, and integrate with NG integrated product teams.
• Actively participate in design reviews, review and approve subcontract deliverables, and assess supplier readiness for contractual milestones.
• Transition to test and verification oversight to assist suppliers through qualification events.
• Maintain strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail throughout the process.
