Collins Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical/ Electro-Mechanical Assembler to read blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and manage inventory in a structured manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes quality checks, adherence to safety standards, and ability to troubleshoot while maintaining a clean work environment.

You will work onsite in Bohemia, NY, performing tasks across assembly, testing, and inspection with attention to engineering specifications and daily safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or related technical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
• Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment.
• Maintain an organized inventory of products in workstations and ensure materials are available.
• Perform quality checks on work, identify defects, and rework/repair as needed per engineering specs.
• Adhere to quality standards and safety procedures; keep a clean, safe work area.
