Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Bohemia, NY, is seeking a Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Assembler. You will read blueprints, operate tools, and ensure quality while maintaining inventory and safety in a real-world production environment.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED with at least 1 year of relevant experience, with preferred manufacturing/assembly background. Expect a hands-on, safety-focused workspace in onsite conditions.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED (or equivalent) with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or mechanical assembly is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret and follow drawings, blueprints and engineering documents.
• Operate hand tools, electrical tools and measuring equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain organized inventory at workstations and ensure materials are available.
• Perform quality checks and rework/repair assembled equipment per spec changes.
• Adhere to safety procedures and keep a clean, safe work area.
• Lift up to 25 lbs and stand for up to 8 hours per day.
• Read technical documents and drawings accurately and apply instructions.
• Troubleshoot and address defects to meet quality standards.
