Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled manufacturing associate in York, Nebraska, for the 2nd shift. You will perform deburring, setup laser marking, assemble components, and interpret drawings and GD&T to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent or in the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic math skills, including adding and subtracting decimals
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of hand tools to remove burrs or sharp edges.
• Perform machine setup and runs on laser marking machines.
• Assemble components.
• Read, interpret and comprehend process prints, engineering and quality standards, and other drawings and work instructions.
• Monitor part tolerances while performing the operation and identify non-conforming features.
• Maintain accurate documentation and system inputs (shop traveler, labor charging, production tracking software, inspection results).
• Identify and report process inefficiencies, machine issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals.
• Handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids and oils and chemical vapors during manufacturing.
• Obtain and maintain required Inspection Certification(s).
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
• 2nd shift: Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
