Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines, offers a summer internship in Middletown, CT. You will work in the Advanced Measurements Research and Development group within RTX's Development Operations Organization, tackling measurement techniques and diagnostics for gas turbine engines.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Physics, with CAD experience and programming skills (MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python).

Formación

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering or Physics and actively enrolled through completion of the intern session.
• Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Unigraphics/NX, or equivalent 3D modeling software
• Experience with software programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW or Python.
• Experience with circuit board design, troubleshooting and soldering surface mount and through-hole components

Responsabilidades

• Responsibilities may include working on tasks related to commercial engines, military engines or both depending on business need.
• This position provides challenging assignments that support the development of new measurement techniques and diagnostic capabilities used to verify the structural integrity of gas turbine engines.
• Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include sensor development, hardware/software design and assembly, bench testing, electrical system design, algorithm development, instrumentation installations, test monitoring and report generation
