Job summary

MACOM’s Western Massachusetts design center is seeking a Summer Aerospace Materials Reliability Intern to design and test qualifying materials for space applications. You will work with the mmWave module design team, test resources, and internal/external partners to develop reliability data.

You will gain hands-on experience, mentorship from engineers, and exposure to aerospace materials, testing, and documentation during a 12-week program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field listed in the job description.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling and mechanical design.
• Familiarity with aerospace qualification requirements and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and test new materials for space module applications.
• Conduct material simulations and analysis; design test plans.
• Collaborate with teams to schedule resources and perform hands-on testing.
• Analyze results against space standards and document findings.
