MACOM in Lowell, MA is seeking an RF Product Engineering Intern to contribute to MMIC product development from concept through volume manufacturing. The 12-week program offers hands-on experience, training, and regular feedback.

You will work on RF test equipment, data analysis, and collaboration with a small team, presenting at a poster session and receiving written feedback on your project outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Active enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program in Electrical Engineering with RF curriculum.
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and power meters.
  • Basic understanding of S-parameters, gain, noise figure, and linearity.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as JMP, MATLAB, Python, or Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for learning and innovation.
  • ITAR: U.S. Persons required.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and contribute to MMIC product development from concept through volume manufacturing.
  • Attend an intern webinar series and poster session to present project outcomes.
  • Receive formal, written feedback on your project successes and pitfalls.
  • Gain hands-on experience with RF test equipment and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with a small team and network with peers during the internship.
