Qualifications

• Typically, the manager requires a high school diploma or GED and management experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields.
• Experience managing shipping, receiving, and inventory systems within aerospace or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of export regulations (ITAR, FAA, AS9100), ERP proficiency, leadership, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outbound shipments, packaging, labeling, and documentation meeting customer, regulatory, and quality standards (AS9100, FAA).
• Coordinate freight or carrier services, manage compliance and customs documentation, ensure on-time shipments.
• Supervise inbound shipments, inspect and verify materials, update ERP inventory transactions, cycle counts and audits.
• Maintain storage and traceability for raw materials, WIP, finished goods, tooling, and flight-critical hardware.
• Lead and train shipping, receiving, hardware & cycle counters staff, assign tasks, monitor productivity, enforce procedures.
• Promote safety and continuous improvement; address performance issues and develop the team.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, Engineering, and Customer Service to ensure efficient material flow.
• Identify efficiency improvements, analyze shipping/receiving metrics, implement SOPs, use ERP and carrier platforms.
• Fleet Management: oversee vehicles, maintenance, compliance (FMCSA), and performance; manage vendor contracts and data analysis.
