Job summary

Canopy A&D in Ontario, CA seeks a Materials Manager to lead materials planning, inventory control, and ERP/MRP data integrity across our aerospace manufacturing operations. You will partner with Production Planning, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure material readiness and accurate BOMs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in materials management, inventory management, MRP, or supply chain.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing materials or supply-chain personnel.
• Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems in manufacturing with complex BOMs.
• Ability to identify and resolve material shortages and constraints quickly.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall materials function including inventory, planning, and material control.
• Oversee MRP and planning based on production schedules, BOMs, and lead times.
• Own the material shortage process with prioritization and escalation of risks.
• Establish processes for receipt, stocking, issuing, and movement of materials.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and discrepancy root-cause analysis.
• Manage stocking strategies, safety stock, reorder points, and excess materials.
• Record material movements in ERP to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with Production Planning to optimize ERP/MRP processes and improvements.
