Job summary

ITP (International Talent Partnership) is seeking a Materials Manager for an aerospace manufacturing environment. The role acts as the central link between Supply Chain, Production, Operations and Engineering to ensure material availability and on-time delivery, while supporting continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Materials Management or Purchasing, strong ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor or similar) and a track record of improving inventory and supplier

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience within Materials Management, Planning, Purchasing or Supply Chain.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations in aerospace, defense, industrial, medical device or other regulated environments.
• Strong ERP / MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor or similar).
• Experience managing inventory, shortages, supplier performance and material flow.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Experience partnering with Production, Engineering and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage materials planning activities aligned to customer demand and production schedules.
• Own MRP execution, purchase order release and material replenishment activities.
• Develop inventory strategies including safety stock, reorder points and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Manage procurement activities across raw materials, machined components, outside processing and indirect materials.
• Improve supplier delivery performance, lead times and responsiveness.
• Lead material shortage reviews and establish recovery plans.
• Partner with Operations and Production to support on-time delivery targets.
• Support engineering changes and material transitions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory, working capital and supply chain performance.

Materials Manager | Aerospace Manufacturing

This is an excellent opportunity for a Materials Manager, Planning Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Production Planner, Purchasing Manager or Senior Buyer looking to take ownership of planning, inventory, procurement and supplier performance activities within a precision manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will serve as the central link between Supply Chain, Production, Operations and Engineering, ensuring material availability while supporting customer delivery commitments and continuous improvement objectives.

You’ll take ownership of planning, procurement, inventory strategy and supplier performance while helping drive operational efficiency across the wider manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage materials planning activities aligned to customer demand and production schedules
• Own MRP execution, purchase order release and material replenishment activities
• Develop inventory strategies including safety stock, reorder points and inventory optimization initiatives

Ideal Background:

3+ years' experience within Materials Management, Planning, Purchasing or Supply Chain

Experience supporting manufacturing operations in aerospace, defense, industrial, medical device or other regulated environments

Strong ERP / MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor or similar)

Experience managing inventory, shortages, supplier performance and material flow

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

Experience partnering with Production, Engineering and Operations teams

Preferred:

• APICS CPIM or CSCP
• Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
• AS9100 or regulated manufacturing exposure
• Aerospace or Defense experience
