Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager for a Tucson, AZ program with on-site requirements. The role focuses on end-to-end materials management, cost control, and supplier performance across multiple sites including Huntsville, AL.

The ideal candidate has extensive defense/aerospace MPM experience, SAP proficiency, and strong collaboration across cross-functional teams to drive program success.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with 8+ years experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Defense/aerospace Material Program Management experience.
• Experience with SAP ERP.
• Experience with supplier management.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Support MPM leads with monthly material forecasting using ROMS and MFT.
• Coordinate with CAM to manage material budgets and EAC for the program.
• Develop and execute Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans.
• Plan and execute sourcing decisions and support Make/Buy/Where process.
• Communicate requirements to suppliers and conduct supplier engagements on capability, capacity, risk.
• Drive Purchase Requisition creation and Purchase Order management.
• Coordinate with Program Office, Production Planning, Engineering, Quality via SAP/Prism.
• Identify and mitigate supplier performance vulnerabilities.
• Support proposal activities for material cost and lead time.
• Participate in program/engineering reviews and change boards (CN and ECP).
• Ensure suppliers support MRP/MPP/MPS and monitor metrics.
