Job summary

RTX is seeking a Material Program Manager to join the Advanced Technology team in Tucson, AZ. The role drives material program strategies, coordinates with IPTs and suppliers, and ensures compliance with FAR/DFARS and ITAR requirements. It requires strong PM experience and the ability to operate in a matrixed organization.

The position emphasizes budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to meet program goals in a demanding aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience in Program Management, Material Program Management, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and/or Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience performing financial or material oversight tasks such as budgeting, forecasting, or tracking cost and schedule performance.
• Experience developing schedules, supporting proposal activities, or contributing to risk and opportunity planning.

Responsibilities

• Execute supply chain and material program strategies and plans to support program requirements from development through contract closure.
• Engage in financial, contracting, negotiation, and project management activities relevant to material programs.
• Lead risk and opportunity management and participate in customer forums with cross‑functional teams.
• Support CAM with material performance, budgets, working capital targets, and sales forecasts.
• Monitor Make/Buy/Where decisions and supplier performance, including FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and quality requirements.
• Contribute to IPT meetings, CCB, RORB, and ERB processes.
• Assist in cost and schedule performance tracking and preparation of Annual Operating Plans.
