Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking an operation process expert to guide build plans, apply manufacturing best practices, and develop labor hour estimates for new bid proposals.

The role collaborates with Engineering, management, lean, tooling and operations to drive quality and cost-effective production methods, while mentoring less experienced staff and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement and manufacturing support.
• High level of understanding in manufacturing of Sheet Metal assembly.
• MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to build plan methods, sequence, tool plans and layouts.
• Keep up with industry best practices and implement in operations.
• Develop labor hour estimates and tooling concepts for bids.
• Provide expertise in production engineering disciplines.
• Coordinate with Engineering, management, lean, tooling and operations.
• Develop quality and cost-effective methods and systems for production.
• Lead long-range technical research on proposed projects.
• Guide less experienced manufacturing staff.
