Job summary

MOHR Talent in West Point, Mississippi is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for a plant-based role in aerospace/defense. You will translate engineering drawings into practical manufacturing solutions and own methods, sequences, and first builds.

You will implement Lean and Kaizen to improve quality and throughput, support NPI and ramp-up, and develop BOMs and layouts. Bachelor's in engineering preferred; export-control requirements apply; strong problem-solving and cross-functional

Qualifications

• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering in aerospace or defense.
• Experience machining, welding, metal fabrication, and complex assemblies.
• Translate build-to-print drawings into manufacturing processes and work instructions.
• Experience with NPI, production ramp-up, BOMs, and layouts.
• Record of measurable Lean or Kaizen improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, or Associate’s with equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet export-control access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define manufacturing methods and build sequences for machined components and fabricated metal assemblies.
• Write clear work instructions for production teams.
• Support first builds, NPI, and production ramp-up.
• Troubleshoot machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly issues.
• Develop and maintain BOMs and layouts.
• Implement Lean and Kaizen to improve quality, efficiency, and flow.
