Job summary

MOHR Talent in West Point, MS is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to lead process development and provide hands-on production support across machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly for high-reliability aerospace/defense products.

The role requires 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, a degree in engineering, and strong skills in BOMs, work instructions, and Lean/Kaizen. This is an in-person, full-time position offering up to 10% bonus and career growth.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace or defense.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an Associate’s in Engineering Technology with equivalent experience.
• Hands-on machining, welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Strong skills in process development, BOMs, and work instructions.
• A Lean and Kaizen mindset with a record of driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes and work instructions for build-to-print parts.
• Lead NPI activities and support production ramp-up.
• Support the development of machined components and complex assemblies.
• Create and maintain BOMs, facility layouts, and assembly line layouts.
• Drive Lean and Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency and quality.
• Work with cross-functional teams to solve production issues and improve flow.
• Be a hands-on resource across fabrication, welding, and machining.
