MOHR Talent in Starkville, MS seeks a Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineer to support process development and production improvement for complex defense programs. This on-site role requires hands-on experience across machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly, with focus on build-to-print manufacturing and NPI.

The ideal candidate will drive Lean/Kaizen initiatives, create BOMs and work instructions, and collaborate across quality, engineering, operations, and supply chain to optimize

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
• Aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with machining, welding, metal fabrication, and assembly
• Strong background creating work instructions, BOMs, process documentation, and production layouts
• Experience supporting NPI, production ramp-up, and build-to-print manufacturing
• Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement experience
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and work directly with shop-floor teams
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; Associate's degree may be considered with strong experience

Responsabilités

• Develop manufacturing processes for build-to-print aerospace and defense parts
• Create and improve work instructions, routers, process documentation, and production standards
• Lead new product introduction and support production ramp-up
• Support manufacturing of machined components, welded assemblies, fabricated parts, and complex assemblies
• Create and maintain BOMs, facility layouts, and assembly line layouts
• Work hands-on with production teams to resolve manufacturing issues
• Partner with quality, engineering, operations, supply chain, and production teams
• Improve manufacturing flow, efficiency, repeatability, and quality
• Drive Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support tooling, fixture reviews, process changes, and production readiness
• Help improve build processes for defense products such as missile canisters, launchers, and related assemblies
