Job summary

The Gill Corporation in Maryland is seeking an Operations Training Specialist to design, implement, and manage the manufacturing training program for aerospace plant operators. You will develop curricula and assess proficiency to support operational excellence.

Responsibilities include building a structured OJT framework, delivering hands-on training on equipment, safety, quality, and SOPs, and collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Operations to improve procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/engineering degree or equivalent training preferred.
• Minimum five years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or related environment.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools; SAP experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to read, write, and communicate SOPs and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a structured training and OJT program for manufacturing operators.
• Conduct hands-on technical training for operators on equipment, processes, and safety.
• Evaluate operator proficiency through assessments, audits, and performance metrics.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Operations to improve SOPs, work instructions, and standard work.
• Track and report training KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
