Job summary

The Gill Corporation-Maryland in Edgewood, MD is seeking an Operations Training Specialist to design, implement, and manage the plant’s training program for safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will develop curricula, evaluate operator proficiency, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement projects aligned with AS9100 and Nadcap requirements; a strong focus on SOPs, EHS knowledge, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years hands‑on manufacturing experience; aerospace/advanced fabrication preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement experience; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain a structured training and OJT program for operators.
• Conduct hands‑on technical training on equipment, processes, safety, and quality.
• Evaluate proficiency and audit operator performance for compliance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Operations to improve SOPs and work instructions.
• Develop and report training KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
