Job summary

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Lay Up Operator Trainee to assist in assembling precut materials into panels or liners. You will report to the Production Supervisor and support setup, assembly, and changeover activities as directed.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing setting. ITAR/EAR compliance and safety requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work any shift, overtime and weekends.
• Able to work in a manufacturing environment and in a team.
• Must lift, push or pull at least 50 lbs.
• Basic reading of measuring tapes and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Reads the GPS prior to start of the work order.
• Reviews work order for any Special Instructions.
• Assists in layup panels and liners per GPS.
• Assist Layup Operator and follow instructions in Setup, Assembly, Change Over of materials.
• Assist presses for loading and unloading.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain a safe work environment and report any issues to Supervisor.
• Other duties assigned by production supervisor or manager.
