Job summary

Capewell Aerial Systems in South Windsor, CT is seeking a Director of Operations to lead the manufacturing plant, streamline processes, and drive efficiency across the facility. You will supervise managers and production leads, ensure AS-9100 quality management, manage budgets, and collaborate with purchasing, sales, engineering, and customer service to meet company goals.

The role requires a strong background in aerospace manufacturing, ERP systems, and proven leadership to improve productivity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience.
• Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
• Strong aerospace machining management experience required.
• Background experience in ERP system(s) is mandatory; understanding how to navigate and use to maximum advantage is critical.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and revise operational policies and guidelines to improve day-to-day operations.
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business and operational procedures.
• Ensures work environments are adequate, safe, compliant, and professional.
• Oversees manufacturing and coordinates with purchasing and sales to meet leadership goals.
• Maintains and supports AS-9100 Quality Management System.
• Plans, directs, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of sales.
• Establishes metrics and standards to evaluate efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Communicates new directives to managers and staff and maintains morale.
• Improves customer service and job satisfaction through policy changes.
• Leads coordination among operations, purchasing, planning/production, engineering, and customer service.
