Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Operations Manager in Manhattan, KS to oversee daily manufacturing, inventory, and repair operations. The role requires hands-on leadership in a lean environment, with experience in ERP/MRP, OSHA, and AS9100/ISO9000 quality systems.

The selected candidate will drive continuous improvement and collaborate across engineering and finance to optimize costs and schedules. Relocation assistance is provided for candidates within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of operations or engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience with direct reports.
• This position requires U.S. work authorization and export control considerations.
• Experience with FAA repair station processes and aerospace manufacturing standards (AS9100/ISO9000).
• ERP/MRP systems experience and broad manufacturing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily supply, manufacturing, and FAA repair station operations, ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO9000, FAA, and OSHA standards.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimize workflows.
• Coordinate production planning, inventory, and resources using ERP and MRP systems.
• Monitor and analyze data to identify trends, resolve issues, and improve KPIs for production, quality, and delivery.
• Provide performance reports to the Plant Manager and support budget/forecast goals.
• Collaborate with engineering to align manufacturing with design goals and with customers to meet expectations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in engineering/operations

Associates degree in engineering/operations
