Job summary

Mason Controls in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Manufacturing Manager to lead the machine shop, ensuring safe, on-time fabrication of aerospace components. You will guide supervision, drive continuous improvement, and manage resources to meet quality and cost targets.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will champion lean manufacturing and data-driven decisions while coordinating with engineering and vendors to sustain high performance and compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Manufacturing; equivalent experience considered.
• 10+ years in manufacturing with at least 5 in a leadership role; aerospace preferred.
• Strong knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO 9001/AS9100.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily machine shop operations ensuring quality, safety, and delivery.
• Lead machinists and production staff using lean project management.
• Ensure safety compliance; conduct training and drills.
• Implement process improvements to reduce waste and cut costs.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve technical challenges quickly.
• Manage inventory, budgets, and vendor relationships.
