Job summary

A.S. Aerospace Inc. in Santa Clarita, CA, seeks a hands-on Plant Manager to lead high‑mix, high‑precision aerospace manufacturing operations, ensure safety, quality, and on‑time delivery, and drive continuous improvement.

You will coach supervisors and operators, optimize labor and equipment, monitor KPIs, and partner with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain while maintaining AS9100 compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of production or plant management experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Experience leading manufacturing teams in a job shop or high-mix environment.
• Strong understanding of machining (CNC lathes), tooling, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working in AS9100-regulated environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage daily plant operations to meet manufacturing needs and customer quality, delivery.
• Oversee manufacturing processes including forging, CNC machining, and assembly.
• Ensure production output, product quality, and on-time shipping goals are achieved.
• Lead, coach, and develop department supervisors, team leads, and operators.
• Monitor labor, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity and asset utilization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and waste reduction.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues.
• Ensure AS9100 compliance and adherence to quality systems.
