Job summary
Votaw Precision Technologies in Santa Fe Springs, CA seeks an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the CNC manufacturing engineering function, supporting large-scale aerospace components.
You will troubleshoot shop-floor issues, review jobs for manufacturability, and drive continuous improvement with manufacturing planning, tooling, and process optimization using CATIA/SolidWorks and Epicor.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in CNC machining/manufacturing engineering with progressive leadership.
- Strong practical knowledge of 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining.
- Experience with VTL and CNC turning operations.
- Ability to read complex drawings, GD&T, specs and customer requirements.
- Proficiency in CATIA and/or SolidWorks for design review and modeling.
- Experience using an ERP/MRP system, preferably Epicor.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering function supporting CNC manufacturing operations.
- Provide daily technical support to the production floor and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with machinists, programmers, setup, quality, planning, and operations.
- Review new jobs for requirements, risks, and machining strategies.
- Support continuous improvement focusing on quality, productivity, cost, and delivery.
- Review machining approaches for manufacturability before release to production.
