Job summary

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney CSMSC in Middletown, CT seeks a Senior Technical Manager to lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers and NC Programmers in developing and qualifying new equipment for airfoil, disk, and hub fabrication in a high-demand environment.

You will drive equipment qualification, oversee process development, and coordinate cross-functional improvement initiatives to meet production goals starting 2028 and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in engineering/manufacturing or a Master’s with 7+ years in a related environment.
• Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN.
• Prior supervisory/management/leadership experience.
• Experience with conventional machining manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers and NC Programmers to procure new equipment and qualify equipment in the mod center.
• Develop strategy and phased approach for installing and qualifying multiple machines in parallel to support increased rates starting in 2028.
• Support the mod center transformation, cross-qualify processes and design shop floor layout.
• Align process planning, N/C programming, and startup of new capital equipment with center goals and improvements.
• Assess skills of staff and drive proficiency growth through training including on-the-job learning.
• Collaborate with all functions across the center to enable teamwork.
