Job summary

Russ Hadick Associates is partnering with a client to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to support aerospace components production in the Dayton/Huber Heights area. You'll translate engineering requirements into practical, repeatable production methods and collaborate with shop personnel to develop manufacturing plans and documentation.

This role suits engineers who enjoy hands-on problem solving in a production environment, with opportunities to improve process performance, address quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Familiarity with milling, turning, and laser cutting.
• Understanding of multi-axis machining and sheet metal processes.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Strong analytical thinking and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop Production Methods: Establish machining and fabrication approaches that meet part specs while enabling efficient production.
• Improve Manufacturing Performance: Review methods, identify improvements, and implement changes for quality and productivity.
• Resolve Technical Issues: Investigate problems and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Prepare Manufacturing Documentation: Develop routings, setup documents, and operator work instructions.
• Support Material and Quality Decisions: Assess nonconforming parts and determine next steps per procedures.
• Provide Shop-Floor Engineering Support: Troubleshoot equipment, process, and production challenges.
• Work Across Teams: Coordinate with colleagues to address technical concerns and meet production goals.
