Job summary

ALIGN PRECISION is seeking a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to conceive, investigate, evaluate and recommend equipment, tooling and processes to improve safety, reliability and cost. The role leads technical projects, codes operational procedures, and supports production with documentation and test procedures.

The candidate will design work instructions for fabrication and assembly, evaluate tools for manufacturing, perform root cause analyses, and train other engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5–7 years experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop aircraft fabrication, assembly, and installation work instructions by evaluating engineering drawings, tool designs, process specifications, and equipment specifications.
• Evaluate and recommend tools and equipment for the support of manufacturing.
• Perform root cause corrective action for the support of manufacturing.
• Train and work with other engineers and planners.
• Prioritize and adjust work flow to meet customer needs.
• Participate and incorporate Lean Manufacturing and initiatives.
• Provide liaison support for production floor via work instruction and manufacturing bill of materials modifications.
• Understand and be aware of customer schedules and current engineering resources to match the needs and delivery dates on the schedule.
• Knowledge of Special Outside Processing operations.
• Knowledge of precision machined component manufacturing in an Aerospace environment.
• Ability to create process plans for CNC machining and assembly operations in an ERP system.
• Knowledge of machined electronic enclosures preferred (Fastened, Bonded, Brazed).
• CAD/CAM proficiency in NX or Solidworks preferred
