Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Elyria, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement manufacturing processes aligned with product specs and quality standards. You will support machining strategies and contribute to AS9145 APQP implementation across the site.

The role focuses on continuous improvement of machining, process ownership, cost estimation, and the design of production routings and NC/CNC programs to optimize efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 2-5 years manufacturing experience, preferably in precision machining or automotive.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes incl. GD&T, CAD, automation or machining.
• Experience with AS9145 process controls (APQP/PPAP/DFMEA/PFMEA/Control Plans/MSA).

Responsibilities

• Provide production support engineering to sustain processes and systems.
• Identify equipment and machining strategies for machined components.
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods using design, materials, tooling and equipment knowledge.
• Create/modify NC/CNC programs to meet product specs.
• Develop production routings from raw material to assembly and test.
• Define machines/tools/gages, feeds and speeds for operations.
• Lead root-cause analysis to resolve processing issues with corrective actions.
• Prepare component/assembly cost estimates for business opportunities.
• Collaborate with functions to ensure quality and flow of manufacturing operations.
