Job summary

RAM Aerospace in Saint George, Utah is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in supporting aerospace production. You will help optimize layouts, assist in tooling design, and apply Lean methods while learning from seasoned engineers.

This internship emphasizes safety, quality, and practical problem solving in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, with CAD (SolidWorks) and MS

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Technology or related engineering discipline.
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and Microsoft Office.
• Effective communicator able to collaborate with engineers and shop floor staff.

Responsibilities

• Documentation & Work Instructions: create and maintain detailed process docs and visual work instructions.
• Tooling & Fixture Design: assist in designing manufacturing tooling and jigs using CAD.
• Process Improvement: identify and implement improvements to manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Equipment Installation & Support: assist in installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery to aerospace specs.
• Operator Training: help train shop floor personnel on new processes and equipment.
• Support Manufacturing: participate in special processes, applying SMED principles to reduce setup times.
