Job summary

RAM Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our team in Saint George, Utah. You will work closely with senior engineers on shop-floor projects, assist in lean manufacturing, process mapping, and implementing value stream improvements, while gaining hands-on experience with tooling design and fabrication.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lean Manufacturing & Process Mapping: Support Lean activities including plant layouts, process mapping, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
• Tooling & Fixture Design: Assist in design and development of specialized manufacturing tooling and jigs using CAD software.
• Documentation & Work Instructions: Support the creation and maintenance of detailed process documentation and visual work instructions.
• Process Improvement Implementation: Aid in the identification and implementation of process and assembly improvements.
• Equipment Installation & Support: Support the installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery to ensure equipment meets aerospace specs.
• Operator Training: Assist in training shop floor operators on key processes and new equipment, ensuring safety and quality.
