Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking world-class Manufacturing Engineers to apply standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement manufacturing and production processes for aerospace products, including our New Glenn vehicle. You will work on manufacturing plans, tooling lists, and continuous improvement on the production floor.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
• Proficient with CAD software (Creo or CATIA V5) and standard office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent and drawings into hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight; create manufacturing BOMs and work instructions.
• Identify tools and equipment needed for manufacturing flight hardware.
• Provide shipside/lineside manufacturing floor support.
• Generate, manage, and close Non-conformance Reports (NCR).
• Support introduction of new products by crafting build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, boosting productivity.
• Drive transition from development to production and perform troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
