Job summary

RTX is seeking Manufacturing Engineers to develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) and support daily production with process improvements and engineering changes. You will apply Six Sigma and data-driven decisions to reduce cycle time and costs while enhancing ergonomics for assemblers.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a STEM field, CAD and MS Office proficiency, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PPT, Project, or Word).
• Experience with CAD solid modeling tools.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool, and fixture designs.
• Supporting daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP.
• Dispositioning non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required.
• Driving Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk, automate, reduce costs using Six Sigma principles.
• Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base.
• Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes.
• Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.
