Job summary

Albany Jobs is seeking a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Engineering professional to support finishing and assembly of composite aircraft structures. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Operations, Planning, and Program Management to meet quality goals and ramp rates.

You will interpret Catia models, develop work instructions, and lead process improvements on the finishing and assembly lines.

Qualifications

• DMAIC/LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies applied to aerospace composites.
• Root cause analysis and corrective action (MRB) experience.
• Proficiency with PFMEA and poka-yoke for defect reduction.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Catia models and customer specs to guide finishing and assembly.
• Manage work instructions and procedural documentation on the floor.
• Collaborate with Quality, Operations, Planning and PM to meet ramp rates.
• Apply PDCA, Kaizen and Six Sigma to drive quality improvements.
• Support tooling choices, process improvements, and risk reduction activities.
