Job summary

Albany is seeking a Quality Technician to inspect composite and aircraft parts on the production floor, ensuring safety, regulatory, and customer standards. The role supports in‑process and final inspections, utilizes measurement tools, and maintains precise documentation.

This is not a desk‑based position; it requires active floor presence, working with operators, and reporting to a Quality Supervisor on the 2nd shift. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Put Safety first at all times; health and safety of themselves and coworkers.
• Conduct in-process and final visual inspections of composite aerospace parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and document nonconformances using precision measurement tools and visual inspection criteria.
• Dimensional measurements using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
• Document inspection results by written reports and electronic data entry into database or SAP.
• Some level of analytical ability to assess and implement quality engineering decisions.
• Support and engage in our AEC Quality System.
• Continuously improve job knowledge through training and individual work
